Pseudotumor Cerebri
Pseudotumor cerebri (PTC), also known as idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH), is a disorder in which the pressure inside the skull (intracranial pressure) is abnormally high. This pressure can cause swelling of the optic nerve, which can lead to vision loss.
The symptoms of PTC can vary from person to person, but they may include:
Headache
Blurred vision
Double vision
Visual field defects
Neck pain
Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
Nausea and vomiting
Fatigue
If you have questions about pseudotumor cerebri, it is important to seek care with an eye care professional.
