Dry Eye Syndrome


Dry eye syndrome, or DES, is a common problem when your eyes don't make enough tears to stay moist or the tears don't have the right mix of natural elements. This can lead to discomfort and sometimes trouble seeing. The symptoms of dry eye syndrome may present as:

  • Burning or Stinging

  • An itchy or gritty sensation in the eyes

  • Vision that is painful or blurry

  • Sensitivity to light

  • Blinking often

  • Redness or irritation in the eyes

  • A sticky, thick discharge from the eyes
