Cataract
A cataract is clouding of the natural lens in the eye. The lens is a clear, flexible structure that helps to focus light onto the retina, the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye. When the lens becomes cloudy, it can cause blurred vision, glare, and difficulty seeing at night.
Cataracts do not usually cause any pain, so they may not be noticed until they have developed significantly. The symptoms of cataracts can include:
Blurred vision
Difficulty seeing at night
Glare
Double vision
Colors appear faded
Difficulty driving at night
If you experience any of these symptoms, it is important to see an eye doctor.
